A brightening cream has two jobs, and they run on different clocks. Skin should look fresher the day you start. Tone should look more even a month in. This one is built for both.
THE FIRST WEEK
A white cream that blends in clear in under a minute. Glycerin at 8% pulls water into the skin, so the dull, dry look that makes a face read as tired lifts straight away, and fine light-reflecting minerals leave a soft, luminous finish rather than a flat one. That is the fresher, brighter look you see in the mirror on day one. It is a finish, and it is honest about that.
THE FOLLOWING WEEKS
Niacinamide at 2%. This is the ingredient that does the longer work: used daily over several weeks, it helps the tone look more even and dull patches look brighter. Two percent is a working level, not a label-only trace, and it is the reason to keep using the cream past the first week.
THE FEEL
Light emollients and a touch of silicone give the slip, and fine powders (silica and nylon) take the shine off as it sets. The result is a cream that goes on cool, sinks in within a minute and leaves a soft, non-greasy finish. It sits well under sunscreen and foundation, and it will not pill under either if you give it that minute.
THE HERBAL BLEND
Six leaf and flower extracts: mallow, peppermint, cowslip, speedwell, lemon balm and yarrow, each at accent level. They give the cream its fresh, faintly green character. The brightening comes from the niacinamide and the pigments, not from the herbs.
✓ Skin looks fresher and brighter from the first use: 8% glycerin hydrates, light-reflecting minerals give a soft luminous finish
✓ 2% niacinamide for a more even-looking tone with daily use over several weeks
✓ White cream that blends in clear in under a minute, with a non-greasy finish
✓ Sits under sunscreen and makeup without pilling
✓ Airless pump keeps the cream clean and dispenses a measured dose
✓ Six-herb blend (mallow, lemon balm, peppermint, cowslip, speedwell, yarrow) for a fresh finish
1. Cleanse, then apply any toner or serum you use. This cream is the last skincare step.
2. Pump once onto your fingertip. One pump covers the face and neck.
3. Dot it on the forehead, both cheeks, nose and chin, then blend outward with your fingertips and down onto the neck.
4. Give it one minute to set before sunscreen or foundation. Applying makeup too soon is what causes pilling.
5. Morning and night both work. In the morning, follow with sunscreen. At night it is light enough to be the last step on its own.
6. Use daily. The niacinamide needs several weeks of regular use to show on tone.
Caution: for external use only. Avoid the eye area. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation or any abnormality appears. Contains alcohol and fragrance; patch-test behind the ear if your skin reacts easily.
