Most body washes are a gel you have to work into foam. This one skips the step. It leaves the can as a mousse, thick and cloud-like, ready to spread the moment it lands in your palm.

THE FOAM
Two things make it. The can holds the wash under propellant, so when you press the nozzle the liquid expands into foam on the way out. And the cleansing base carries a small soap phase (stearic acid, neutralised in the formula) that gives that foam its body, so what lands in your hand is a dense, airy mousse rather than a puddle of gel. On wet skin it spreads into a soft lather and rinses away clean.

WHAT IT DOES
It cleans. The base is a conventional foaming cleanser paired with a coconut-derived amphoteric surfactant and two milder secondary cleansers, so it lifts sweat, sunscreen and the day off the skin and rinses without residue. Glycerin at 4.3% sits in the same formula, which is why skin feels soft and comfortable after the rinse rather than squeaky and tight. Soapnut fruit extract, the fruit traditionally used for washing, is in the cleansing base as a supporting botanical, and a blend of ten amino acids is in there at low levels.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
It's a wash, not a lotion. Glycerin stops the tight feeling; it doesn't moisturise through the day, and it isn't meant to. If your skin runs dry, follow with a body lotion while the skin is still damp. It also isn't sulfate-free. If you avoid sulfates on principle, this isn't the one for you, and we'd rather say so here.

THE SCENT
Sweet strawberry. There is no strawberry in the formula; it is a fragrance, dosed at 1%, and certified compliant for rinse-off body products. You smell it on the foam and in the shower.

THE FINE PRINT
This is a pressurised aerosol. Keep it away from heat, flames and direct sun, and never pierce or burn the can, even when it's empty. Contains fragrance. Avoid the eyes.

1. Shake the can well. It mixes the wash with the propellant, and that is what gives you foam instead of a wet spurt.
2. Hold the can upright and press the nozzle to dispense a palm-sized cloud of mousse. A little goes a long way; it expands on the way out.
3. Lather over wet skin, neck down. It spreads with very little effort.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
5. Morning and evening. If your skin runs dry, follow with a body lotion while the skin is still damp.

Caution: for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes; if it gets in, rinse with water. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation or any abnormality appears. Pressurised container: keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and direct sunlight; do not pierce or burn, even after use.
